Course overview
Cathcart Castle Golf Club is one of the oldest clubs in the area and moved to its present location, previously an old working farm, in 1925. The club is home to a well-designed parkland course and are members of the Association of James Braid Courses, and the clubhouse is a redeveloped farmhouse that has been modernised over the years. Measuring 5,902 yards, this parkland track is not long by modern standards, but thanks to it fantastic design it is sure to test every aspect of your game. In true James Braid fashion, the course defends itself in more intelligent ways than just length, including 6 tough par 3s that require control and accuracy with mid to long irons. There is a real mix of holes on the course, with par 4s ranging from 277 yards in length to a 462 yard, par 4, that can often take 3 shots to find the green!
