Course overview
Not far from Livingstone, Pumpherston Golf Club offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. The club was originally founded in 1895 and began as a 9-hole golf course. It was then extended to an 18-hole course in 2002 with the project receiving worldwide acclaim which has resulted in a truly 'green' golf course. The new layout was designed by Graeame Webster to meet USGA specifications Pumpherston has since been recognized as one of the best courses in West Lothian. The course measures just over 6,000 yards and is renowned for being quite narrow putting emphasis on precision of the tee and accurate approaches. The course is maintained to an excellent standard, features water hazards on a number of holes along with greenside bunkers protecting the tight greens providing a real challenge for every golfer. The signature hole includes The 13th – The Saughs – The name comes from the surrounding beautiful willow trees, created a lovely approach into a tight well protected green.
