Course overview
Established in 1908 and situated just over 3 miles from Manchester City Centre, Prestwich Golf Club has traditionally been a parkland course set over a hilly terrain bordering Kersal Moor, the site of the Original Manchester Golf Club, the second oldest golf club constructed in England. After £800,000 investment, the new course at Prestwich Golf Club opened in 2020 which extended the course onto the moorland giving a unique and varied golfing experience. International Golf Architect Paul Thomas designed it to be a modern fast playing course while still retaining the best of the old course. Six existing holes were remodeled with four brand new holes being added. Whilst Prestwich Golf Club does not have the longest course measuring 5001 yards and a par 68, it still provides a challenge to golfers of differing levels.
