Course overview
Royal Troon is an 18 hole championship golf course in Scotland, located in Troon, south Ayrshire and just south of Glasgow. Royal Troon is a famous world renowned golfing destination that has played host to The Open Championship many times before and returns in 2023. The course measures 7,208 yards from the tips with the emphasis on hitting fairways rather than distance. Bunkers are littered everywhere across Royal Troon, the majority of which are not visible from the tee box. The outward nine is where you want to make your score as when you turn for home it gets a little trickier especially with the usual wind hurting. Royal Troon Old Course is a fabulous test of golf with fast and immaculate fairways leading into sloped greens surrounded by pot bunkers. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to place here and you’ll not forget it in a hurry. The famously recognized clubhouse behind the 18th green just adds to the steep history at Royal Troon. One of the best golf courses in the world and in a beautiful part of the globe.
